Picked this nem up, lfs employee wasn't sure what species it was. Anyone?

White with yellowish highlights in it

It's not a healthy anemone. Not to be a debbie downer, a white anemone is rarely a good thing, it's most likely lost nearly all of the zooxanthellae.

Tahoe61, no worries ! Have to learn at some point. Picture does no justice either (cell phone), the tentacles have yellow in them too just like the smooth area you see in pic. So what are my chances of survival ? I had a rose bubble tip that was faded due to poor lighting at lfs and its thriving right now.

Some coloration is good, yellow makes sense for a Sebae.

I like that fact that the anemone is already attached.

Since this is not your first rodeo, excellent water quality, and sufficient lighting go a long ways.

Good luck, I have seen bleach Sebae makes excellent come backs.

That is a H. malu. The bands on the tentacles give it away. This species of anemone does not get too big, max at 6-8 inches. You can do a search and read about this species

I just looked it up and saw one yellow heteractis malu, looks very similar. Thanks for the info
