I thought people eaters were all dark purple with no spots or r they a morph of that variety ? I think I'm lucky then only paid $15 for the hole frag..

There are many different PE types. There is PPE, OPE, RPE, GPE, StardustPE, PEoA, PRPE, PPRPE, POLKOPIPE, RHUSINEPE, PJUSNDUMINUSEPE...well, you get the idea.
Looks like yours are Stardust morph.
