Any idea what this guy is?

Found him in my tank last night, he has a hard shell but is not like any snails I have added.

Looks like a stomatella snail. Good member of the CUC

He is really cool looking, I hope he is a good member of the tank because I would like to keep him.

That's the first one with that color / pattern combination that I've seen, but I have seen ones that have a "textile cone shell" pattern and black ones - so this isn't too much of a stretch. Every other thing about this guy says Stomatella.

You just got an extra-cool one.

Back in the tank he will go then, I am glad because he is really cool looking.

Yeah, it's a stomatella. I have a couple in my tank. They come out at night. They don't like light at all. They're quite a bit faster than an average snail.

stomatella. they can come in all sorts of colors. i have had full black ones before.
