I am a new to the hobby and I noticed this on the skelton part of my flower pot, and wanted to ask if someone can tell me if this is a bad thing.

tunicate or maybe a majano/some type of anemone? +1 on how long it's been there? Did it kill/sting off that part of the goni?

i did not notice it when I bought it about 4 months ago, however I relocated the flower pot a few days ago and noticed it. It has 2 red feelers among the beige color ones. Kinda looks like a Catapillar.

I am not sure if it stung the Goni or not, I really did not inspect it very well, because I assumed the Goni would just be alive that long and I just wanted something in my tank, at the time of sale.

Clearer shot might make it better to ID. Red feelers? Do they come out farther?

Well, still hard to get a good shot, but very interesting. Doesnt seem to bother your goniopora in the pic. My thought was an anemone, but the red feelers is throwing that off.

crabs and lobsters have been known to associate, might not be out of the question

Well, I suppose I will just leave it alone and see what happens. As long as it stays on the flower pot I will see if it grows into something that can be identified someday. I do thank all for the input to my mystery pet.

Hmmmm... I don't recognize it off hand....that last pic looks like some sort of anemone.

Not sure how to tell this without touching it. Their movement in water flow looks like how buble tip responds. I think the tenicals tips shape resemble the Russian red square church St.Basil shapes, for lack of better words to describe them.

Well,
if possible try your best to get a really clear picture of it so we can figure this mystery out!:D
