Any idea what this is on Rainbow Goni?

It comes out of it from the top of the frag. I thought it was algae one time and pulled it off. Then it just came back but thicker this time. Please help.

Looks like algae. Have you tried blue legs?

hair algae !! manually remove is one way, phosphate control is another... what are your phosphate levels? Do you see this in other parts of the tank?

pinch it off once every couple of weeks and carry on with your day. good looking frag though

This is the only spot like this in tank. My lawnmower blenny takes care of the small spots of algae on the back glass. I’ll check my phosphates later this evening to make sure all is good.

I pulled my blue leg hermits out of the tank. They kept knocking over my corals or attacking my other hermits. Might be time to place a few back in the tank.
