I keep getting this green slime type algea on the rocks and send bed. Its in my nano tank and I am constantly doing water changes siphoning this out so my phosphates and nitrates are both 0. Its like cyano but green and keeps on comming back non stop. Any idea how to get rid of this permanently?

It’s green cyano. Probably a spirulina. In my tank it eventually just faded away.
Do avoid coral foods and Amino , carbon dosing etc.
keep disrupting the mats with a turkey baster.

I had me some of them with some of them dinos, together made a lovely soup mix.
As one disappear one magically appears. Quite amazing.

Almost through it all now, been fun....really fun[emoji13]

I added somemore flow into the tank. Do you think a uv sterilizer will help?

Ok It's light green & comes off the rock easily? I "think" it's it's called green slime algae. I have it also. I clean it off & it comes right back. I understand the real low to zero nutrients . Just like Cyano & other stuff ,are part of the cause . This is my theory at least .
Iv'w been experimenting with dosing just a little No3 \ Po4 . I will follow to see what others say .
Here is my thread on this stuff .

Yea if you have one if may help a bit.
Keep an eye on top of tds , foods , and check your snail population as well.

True that. It actually didn't even bother nor stress me out this round, as I knew how to battle it, while also just letting the tank run.

Ill have a good post in the main topic thread regarding my experience. Patience was factor.
