A couple of weeks ago I blew out my rocks and immediately noticed two white pimples on the nose of my Blue Throat Trigger.
I figured it was something that blew up and I let it go
Over the course of days the white dots embedded into the skin.
It’s been two going on three weeks
Fish is eating and acting fine
No scratching or peculiar behavior.
Now it seems that they are coming to surface again as they seem whiter.

Might be coincidental to the tank clean, or perhaps the trigger got spooked and crashed into something.

It does look to me that these are erupting from under the skin, not going from the skin's surface down inside, but that might just be the perspective of the photos.

It isn't a symptom of any of the protozoan or metazoan parasites, could possibly be bacterial. I've had issues in the past with triggers developing abscesses because their skin is so thick.

How long have you had the trigger?

Jay

Agree and looks like healing from an injury

Trigger has been with me since mid March. I put him in display tank a couple days prior to noticing this. I did a month in copper safe and then prazipro. No signs of itching or external parasites that I can see. I can see what you're saying about it being an injury. Thanks for the input. I'll keep an eye on it over the next few days.
