Found this little red looking thing on some live rock in my dt and was wondering what it might be. It's round, bright red and small.

Sorry for bad image phone quality and dealing with a bacterial bloom.

It no longer on the lr so I would sat it moves yes. And I do have coral also. Would a sponge be good or bad?

Sponges are fine unless they start to choke out a coral. Flatworms on the other hand, some eat coral. Unfrotunately, I'm not sure which ones do and which ones don't, so maybe someone else will be a little more helpful with that.

How does it feel to the touch? If it's hard then it might be a Foraminiferan. (harmless) Red bubble algae is another possibility too. (as well as a sponge)

Thanks for the replies, it is gone now just vanished into the live rock I won't worry about it unless it starts multiplying like crazy
