Could someone please tell me if this coral is dying? Iv had this for ages now and to it used to look nice however I couldn't find the right location for it in my tank and I moved it one two many times and it closed up. It's been closed for about a month and noticed recently it has started to pop up again but It doesn't look anything like it did before is this worth keeping or will it cause me more harm than good keeping it in my tank.?

Turbinaria, Pagoda Cup.

It may not be opening fully because of the mucous strands from Vermetid Snails, I can see the strands in the image. These mucous strands may irritate some coral more than others.

Of course always check chemistry, alk swings cause issues. Also flow, if detritus or algae is allowed to grow on the tissue the coral will not expand as readily.

No the coral does not look to be dying but a little stressed. :-)

Iv never know or seen these nails in my tank but have always thought what is that mucus. Iv obviously got a hitch hiker. How would I rid this pest ?
