...why these guys won’t open? Params are all good. Zoa was dipped before being put in tank about 3 weeks. First day or two they were open and after that they’ve looked like this. I’ve moved them around 3-4 different times and really no difference. Any suggestions?

I would like to know why some zoas do this as well. I have had some do it and others in the tank are fine. If they don't open, they will wither away and die eventually, mine did.

Yea don’t want that. No idea what these guys are called but they are cool looking

After looking at the pictures again, your tank looks very new based on the white rock? That could be the man factor in your situation. New tanks take a few months to stabilize.

It is new/old if that makes sense. Transferred an established 30 gal into a 75

If its persistent, you should check param, water flow & light.

Also check for zoa eating nudibranch or spider (they are nocturnal)

Check them first at night. With a flash light or something similar, particularly around the base. If you spot something, then yeah , you have to do something about it. From the pic it does not look like any of the heads melting away or in bad state, just closed up. Can be the new system issue

Give them a chance to settle in. Some don't like being moved around that much. Even though you moved an established smaller system to a larger, new tank, I would still consider it a new tank and will take some time to get established. I have the same thing going on and am holding off moving my good zoas into it until at least 6 months. I moved my torches, hammers, blastos, montis and digi up after 1 month and they are doing great. I moved 3 frags of zoas up at the same time and they are struggling.

Yea I think I’m just going to let them be. I was also thinking of taking my slimmer offline for a few days to allow some nutrients to build up and “dirty the water”. Thoughts?
