Any ideas about my blue hippo?

If it's eating, just leave it be. It's big enough to fend it off. I'm not sure what it is, but in my experience if the fish is eating, it will pull through. My tang showed spots all the time for over a year and would eat and swim around just fine.

He is eating fine. I just didn't want him to infect my yellow or any other fish, so he is in the qt tank.

He was already in the DT right? If so, what ever it has is probably now in the DT...

Yeah he was in there. I guess that makes sense that everything could still catch it but they were all still looking good and he has been looking this way for 4-5 days. Maybe nothing else will come down with it.

It's probably just stressed out. Let it stay in QT for a few weeks and see what happens. How big of a QT you got that beast in?

Maybe but I don't think so. He and the yellow have never shown any aggression towards each other. Not even the first few minutes they were introduced. He really burrows in the rocks at night and I wonder if he got hurry that way.

My blue tang would get wounds all the time from trying to chase the 6-line wrasse through the rock work. The tang was not as sly and would crash. Lol

Yeah mine is not very graceful either. Actually kinda clumsy lol.

After talking to a few people and looking at pics, we think it is more of a bacterial infection than ich or something like that. I got some API meds last night and started the treatment. Already this morning he is looking a little better. Going to take about 6 days to fully dose meds and I am going to keep in in qt for another week or so and see how he looks before putting him back in dt.
