Hi I got this nice 3 gl for my betta fish and of course I got the temptation to turn it into a pico reef! any ideas fresh or salt?

Looks like a Tetra tank.
Used to have with Aquaclear HOB and hid a 10w heather and bag of carbon.
Housed with few Sexy shrimps.
Since is not acrylic, its somewhat hard to scrape off the algae.

Yes it is actually, I was going to use it for my male betta. but I have a kens marine padded scrapper, so that might help.
 
This will be fun! I would definitely add a HOB myself.Although it looks like you would have to reconfigure the lid in order to do so.In addition you will probably need a brighter light to keep corals long term. I would second the zoas and mushroom suggestions. You could also try a Laptastrea in there.

I love Laptastrea!! And i would probably fashion something out of eggcrate.
 
I do too! One can be fully appreciated in the Pico aquarium.I think they resemble brain corals.
