Any ideas on this mark?

Just showed up on my tang today. He acts and eats fine. I’ve had the fish for about 3 months.

It looks like a perfect circle with a small dot in the middle.....i realize this problem doesn’t help much

Could be the Foxface stung it. And there's an infection starting "red dot in the middle" from the insertion point. I'd start him on Furan2. It works really well on angels and butterflies that develop those nasty "red spots." Beautiful fish.

Ok yea that could be, they do pick at each other’s from time to time but more often than not get along.

That looks like an injury to me. How long has it been there?

If it gets more red or grows in size it will need antibiotics like furan 2, metroplex, and kanaplex administered in a quarantine tank.

I noticed it about 7 hours ago.

Could be a sting from the fox face or perhaps a coral. Keep an eye on it. I’d source those antibiotics anyway, they’re great to have on hand and inexpensive on amazon.

24 hours later and it looks like it’s healing nicely. This dude is like a puppy dog moving around so fast it’s hard to get a good pic
