Any ideas on what killed my Wrasse?

This morning I found my Wrasse barely alive. He has some type on injury. Besides a few corals, his tank mates are 2 small clownfish a file fish, 6 hermits and 6 Trouchus snails and 2 peppermint shrimp. Could it have been a rock scrape?

Mp40 it has protector on it

i just lost 2 fish to my mp40 without guard that's why i asked. i saw my wrasse get chewed up by mp40 it was very sad.

Could have been spooked and bumped into something causing the injury. I had a wrasse do that and wound up with a spinal injury. I euthanized it when it showed no sign of improving , couldn't eat and had trouble swimming.

I am wondering if he died then your CUC started doing their jobs. I believe most wrasses only live 4-7 years. He was beautiful for sure. Sorry!

Do you have liverock from the ocean? Mantis shrimp or other nasty hitch hiker?
