This coral has been in my tank about 2 months in the same spot on tbe sand bed and usually looks pretty healthy with flowing tentacles. It’s looked like this for the last two weekend. Tentacles extremely short and puffy.

Parameters are all normal

Nitrate 5
Phos 0.7
Alk 8-9
Cal 420
Mag 1480
Ph 8.2
Sal 1.025
Temp 79

Don’t think there is anything wrong with it other than it is adjusting to your system.

Btw, check your Po4 again 0.7 seems kinda high

Sorry .07 is what I meant. If you see this video from a couple of weeks ago you can see how healthy it was before it shrunk like this. (I think you’ve seen this video in a separate post when we talking about flow).

Maybe I did.

Elegance corals are finicky corals, you know that and they require a little more dirtier water than we keep our tanks normally at.
I have tried a few over the years but they all shriffled up after 6 to 12 months.
If your Po4 is at .07 try to get it up to .10 but not higher than .15 and see what happens.

I’ve read about elegance coral syndrome somewhat and not sure if it’s at that stage yet. I just didn’t know if there any chance of this coral being sick and hurting tank. Meaning, at what point do you decide to remove it?
