They are very hard, so I am guessing not eggs. But odd for sure.

Oh yeah, its a pest algae. Just don't pop them, its literally a bubble of spores ready to go off, if possible, clean them off the frag outside the tank. You can pry them right off.

Yes, bubble algae. You can break them off the rock and siphon them up.

As everyone else said, do not pop the bubbles! Remove the plug and clean it off.

Don't bother with the CUC route, its 100% curable right now if you just pull it out and pry it all off and clean the area with peroxide before placing back in water.
