Any ideas?

I bought a Hammer coral frag and saw this on on the side. It does not appear to be attached to the coral. Anyone know what it is?

look on it, and if you figure out it's producing mucous web / string like, it's vermetid. many don't like them, because they can disturb the corals really much and to come invasive

it's a vermatid snail. I'd break it off at the base with some pliers or your hand since the web can irritate the corals. they're pretty invasive too
