Any issues dumping fresh hatched brine in tank

Got one of the BRS hatcherys and it completely separates the baby’s from the egg shells. I collect only the freshly hatched baby’s. I have been dumping them into the tank for a treat for everybody. Any issues from that? Will they get eaten or just die? Any issues with polluting the tank?
I got everything to try and grow brine in a separate tank and I can’t get past a week and they die. Figured I might as well feed the tank.

It depends on what you have in the tank. The smaller fish (or fish with smaller mouths) will love the live food (things like wrasses, anthias, damsels, etc). Larger mouthed/larger fish might still enjoy it, but they won't get as much benefit from ti.

From what I've read they will go straight towards the light at the top of the tank. If they do that in my tank they will get sucked down the Overflow and end up in a jug of filter floss.

Thanks! It seems like all the fish are just hammering them. I just did not want to pollute the tank. Hoping the LPS are getting some too. I have this whole bottle of eggs from BRS and I did not want them to go to waste. It’s crazy how well the hatchery from BRS works. They congregate right to the scoop too. I kinda got suckered by Thomas’s video with dreams of growing my own to adult hood. They are super easy to hatch but hard for me to grow

I have the same system and my fish just love them. I call them potato chips cause the wrasses can't eat just one. I dump them in front of the powerhead so they get stirred around more and might hit the corals for a little snack too.

Yup me too! The fish can’t seem to open there mouths big enough to suck them in.

I have the same problem, none of the baby brine shrimp live past the first week. I really want to have live adult brine to feed my tank every so often but can't get them to live long enough.

Because it's challenging, fun, and the adults are meatier than the BBS.

My current theory is that the act of collecting the nauplii by running the water through a net, is too physically damaging, hence why they die. I've also just consistently had problems with water quality as well, but that might be due to overstocking...

This thing makes hatching sooo easy! Once they hatch they literally swim to the collection cup for you. All you do is dump in no worrying about separation or rinsing. Pretty cheep too

How do you keep the hatching container warm? I set mine on the glass top of my Refugem, but very few hatched out. A bottle, set in the same Fuge, same eggs, I got a lot of shrimp.

BTW a long time ago, when I lived in Florida. I used a Porcelain Tub out of an old washing machine, partially buried it with a tree shading it part of the day. Put an Acrylic Sheet over it. Algae grew in it. We had a self sustaining Brine Shrimp Nursery. Just had to add fresh water.

Nothing I keep the hatchery kinda on the kitchen counter. It usually takes 24-36 hours for all of them to hatch. Stays room temp which currently is 75 degrees. During the summer it was between 75-80. I swear they hatch with better numbers with slightly cooler water
