I’ve had this lawnmower blenny for a bit now. Seems to be in good shape and is active, but he went from constantly grazing the rockwork and picking at algae as it begins to grow, to marking his territory front and center in the tank, in the sandbed, and constantly splashing his tail and dunning up the sand with the help of some high flow (still picks at the algae on the rockwork, only much less than he did before - granted there’s less of it).
He doesn’t appear to be flashing, doesn’t rub up against anything, just seems to enjoy hanging in this spot, sometimes literally just sitting on the sand, other times piling it up. Wondering if he started to catch the frozen food I feed the fish and decided he didn’t need to keep constantly grazing, but that doesn’t necessarily explain him sifting the sand. Anybody else’s do this?
