Any lighting recommendations

What is your budget? That can help with suggestions. For a budget light, I would recommend the Nicrew Hyper Reef LED's. I have 2 over my 40b and they are pretty impressive for the $. You may also look into the AI PrimeHD, Kessil, or Radion XR15 if budget allows.

Depends on which one you go with. The 50W version is similar to the Primes, while the 100w is more like the Hydras. The LED colors are a little different, but the LEDs are under similar lenses in a cluster. The biggest thing you don't get is the control and app. They are releasing a controller this month for them, or you can use a Kessil Spectral Controller X, like I do.

How much does the. Controller cost and how would you use it without the controller
I don't know how much the Nicrew controller is going to cost, but the Kessil Controller is $100. That means 2 x HyperReef 50W lights, stands, and controller would be $300. Once the 100W are back in stock, you would be looking at ~$360 (less than the cost of a single Hydra 32 without the mount.

Without the controller, there are 6 brightness settings for each channel (White and Blue). There are buttons on the front of the light, each time you press either the W (white) or B (blue) button, you change the intensity. Very basic, but useable. I definitely recommend a controller for them.

Some options that I have considered in the past on my 32 biocube before deciding to keep the stock lights (no issue for growing softies, lps, and some easy sps despite what everyone tells you):
Kessil A80
AI prime HD
(Saw this one on a video. The dude had mostly softies from what I remember though)
Hope this helps

I also use Nicrew 150, so three pucks, I could not find a controller for the 100 or 150 hypereef, would be nice, but not essential to me or my corals. One was promised by Nicrew, but haven’t seen it yet.

On and off, 6 intensity levels for each of the two channels, that’s it for the price but will grow things very well as the spectrum in right on the two peaks with some near UV,and the available intensity has worked great.
