I am looking for college books on Marine Biology. Actually, I would like to go back to school to be a Marine Biologist but maybe after the kids are raised.

Anyhow, I would love suggestions on some good books to read.

I’m not a marine biologist, but this book is really, really spectacular and is on the bookshelf of a few marine biologists I know:

Awesome. I love to read. Especially when I am into the content

What are you interested in? One plus one equals one by John Archibald is very good
I am interested in everything I can learn about the Marine ecosystem from Apex predators down micro organisms like bacteria, symbiotic relationships, toxins, etc. So, I guess marine biology and marine microbiology

Find a college that offers the degree you want. Look at what textbooks are required for the classes you are interested in the bookstore.

Two books I highly recommend are:

Fish Disease: Diagnosis and Treatment by Dr. Edward J Noga.

Captive Seawater Fishes: Science and Technology by Dr. Stephen Spotte

While not the easiest reading, they are both superb.

Go to Google scholar and search any subject you are interested in particular. You can find numerous papers for free and will get more up today info about more specific subjects. Especially compared to generalized textbooks.

Here is an example question I would like to understand.

The relationship between temperature and oxygen production of zooxanthellae.
