Any Maxspect Reps around?

So I'm cleaning one of my Gyre's and I notice the power wire is coming apart. :mad: now I'm no electrician but I'm guessing this is unsafe!

Actually, your probably ok using that. Maxspect may warranty it, the wires likely go into a motor area that has been sealed with silicone.

Mine has done the same thing. I was hesitant to put back into the tank. Then thought it has been running inside already so I put it back in. Like you though I wasn't happy to see that happen.

Did you ever contact Maxspect to see if they would warrenty it?

No I didn't. It is over 2 years old so I figured it wouldn't be covered.
