OK, So Iam pretty new to saltwater and I am now facing a ich problem. Is there any product that can treat it that is safe for live rock, shrimps etc? Most say not to use with inverts and live rock / sand. Really trying to avoid the whole 72 day fallow.

So if I transfer them over and go fallow then do I need to do water changes still in DT? and if so how often during the 72 day quarantine?

Polyp lab Medic
Works well also

You can safely fallow 45-50 days

This happened after getting a powder blue tang and yes I am now very aware of there problem with ich, but does that mean I had ich the whole time? did she maybe bring ich into the tank? if i put her back after QT and treatment will it just get ich again?

Probably brought it in. If you only QT the one fish and not go follow then most likely it'll get it again when you put it back.

Just did some quick research on that product and quite the mixed reviews lol! seems like people either loved it or hated it. Have you had success your self with this product?
It will work if you religiously follow the instructions. IMHO most people who didn't have success are the oones who didn't calculate the total volume of their tank propely or started treating when ich was at an advanced stage.
It didn't work for me. I was late at starting the med and didn't add sump volume when calculating dose.
I know its a stupid mistake.

How long until ich becomes at a advanced stage? I first noticed this 3 days ago.

Ich falls off and comes back to attach the same fish and more. If you see number of spots have increased or more than one fish has spots then it's in advanced state. That's my understanding.
The way medic works is it makes the conditions unfavoranle for ich parasites when they detach from the fish and try to attach to other surfaces to multiply. Effectively preventing it from growing and attacking other fish. Medic plus good diet will help the affected fish to fight off ich while medic prevents other fish to get infected.
I hope other members share their inputs on this as well.
Read about 'tank transfer method' if any of the fish is still not showing any symptoms, you can try saving them by TTM.
