Any need for fish vitamins or additives?

I have been feeding my fish a variety of food. However, recently I have been seeing fish food vitamins like vita chem, selcon, and polyp lab medic. Is this something I should use to promote good health? Anyone have advice? Thanks in advance.

I like to give vitamins as an extra protection, in case my fish need to fight an infection or disease.

It might not be an absolute necessity, but why not, it’s not expensive.

If you're vodka dosing don't forget Vitamin B1

Seriously though, I do add some fish oil and vitamins to the frozen food, and found it seemed to make the fish more colorful. But, maybe it was the vodka

These are what I'm using, and they seem to work for my tank.
Of course some people don't add anything and have happy looking fish too but their diet is probably different.

I'm a big fan of selcon. I used to just do garlic additives but Selcon has been serving my fish well.

It really depends on what you're feeding. Some people feed a varied diet with foods that are enriched and/or naturally contain the extra vitamins, fats, amino acids, etc that the supplements provide.
