does anyone if ATI is working on any new T5 fixtures?

I mean the current models are pretty old, and definitely not the most attractive.
They are great fixtures performance wise, but i really think they could use a little make up.

Their T5/LED hybrid is still a lot better than the T5 only set.

Also, they need to start competing with the customizable hybrid fixtures like the Aquatic combo or the Giesemann Stellar. Snoozing in this hobby means loosing market share pretty quick.

thoughts? know of anything in the pipeline?

Doubtful, they just came out with the new hybrid model with WiFi. I mean, you don’t need much else in a light. I have the old hybrid over my tank and think it’s one of the slickest hybrid fixture out. Looks a lot better than some of those “diy” hybrid led/t5 combo.

Maybe more color options for the fixture?

well - the tank i am building is 72 x 36.
I fear getting that hyprid wont give me enough LED coverage.

I want the LED for coral pop - but that one thin strip of LEDs in the middle of that ATI fixture - i fear - wont be enough to light up the tank.

would love your take on it Reefltx.

Not denying their performance being top of the line.
I just really really wish their sunpower fixtures were better looking.

Yeah, the power module design is a couple of years old but still looks super slick. 36 in height Or front to back?

Here's a build with the ATI Powermodule hybrid. The LED's are more than enough to light up that size tank

The sunpower line is pretty solid, so I doubt they are planning any new releases for T5 only. As stated above, the powermodule hybrid was just updated last year to include Wifi.

72W x 36D x 24H

powermodule with Leds is still pretty neat.
I genuinely dislike the T5 only sunpower. Its works awesome - but looks awful.

Oh that is Andre's tank.

@PSXerholic - Hey Andre - what is your take on the powermodule's LED strip performance?

do you think that it is enough to pop coral colors on a 36" deep tank?
Planned tank is 72 x 36 x 24H

I love it on my 36 deep tank!
The LED make so far everything poppy, but as in other 300DD tanks where the Powermodule has been used, most reefer added Reef brites on both sides to get a bit more blue LED as supplemental/addition. For now I'm okay but may go the same direction and will add Reefbrites!
This is going to be the case when the SPS are a bit larger.

Hope that helps.
Another note, ..... if my powermodule fails one day, I will buy another one ;-)

Thanks Andre.

But if the idea is going to be to add reefbrites on each side,
would it make more sense to get the sunpower fixture and add reef brites to that.

Instead of paying over 2K for the powermodule, the sunpower is about 750.
and Reefbrites would be added on top

thoughts?

Would go with the Powermodule.
The control on the light colors is great with the influence on Red, Green, Blue and white LEDs to tweak greatly the appearance of the tank, while the Reefbrites are only blue and white or only blue!
You can make nice evening scenes in more greenish yellow etc.

The center LED's are combined multiple LED's in each reflector, then multiple reflectors in each cluster. Not sure how many LED are built in total, but you can check the ATI specifications on the website to see the quantity of LED.

Here is one scene you can get with the right mix of LED settings only ;-)
Pretty good stuff you can do with the Powermodule and it's LED's only.

What % do you run your leds, duration?

I'd love to see an ATI 6/8 bulb with rows of LED's on the outside edges in addition to or even instead of the center strip they have now. And ditch the red/green LED's, no use for those on a primarily T5 light, just need LED's for fluorescence and shimmer.

I have the gen1, there’s no green. Just blue/royal blue/white/red

i have same tank 72x36 and i can tell you that i sold my ATI Hybrid years ago..and went with 10xT5 fixture with 2x LEDs bars on the ends...Ive been mulling for years to go full LEds and cant find a solution accept two rows of Radions mounted horizontally ...Again, my tank is 90% SPS and i need full coverage front to back....Some guys have mix reef and the can get away with ATI Hybrid for me it wasnt enough ..
Lately i was thinking to go with two Aquatic life , maybe over kill but at least it will cover tank in full... Waiting for RP in NY to see the fixture in life.
Ideally, i would love to go with 3 rows of T5 and two rows with radions

could you please share the 10 bulb fixture you have?
and which LED bars did you use?
happy with the coral color?
any pics?

LED's are on around 7-11 and ramp up from 0 to approx. 75/80% at peak times.
T5 are on 2 channels and run for about 10-12 hours. Each channel 6-7 hours and overlap all together for 3-4 hours typically.
