i have a 75g display tank with a 20g sump that will eventualy be heavily stocked i was looking at geting a reserculating skimmer, would love the avast peg leg but but the reef octopus 110ext is more in my price range...(and i dont have to put it together)... But if its a piece of crap i dont wanna get it. So any toughts would be much appreciated.

I ran that same skimmer on my 60 and now my 105 without any issues at all. RO skimmers are well built and a very good buy in the mid level price range.

I've been running an older version of that skimmer for about 6 years. It's been run as a HOB, internal, and external skimmer on systems ranging from 30G water volume up to 110G volume.

My complaints are:

1. It is loud
2. It constantly requires tweaking to maintain the desired head.

I run that skimmer on my 100 gal. In service for three year works great I feel it's ez to adjust and run without consistent without adjustment replacement parts are ez to come by on coral vue's web site.
