Not that this is worth much as I have no personal experience with these, but I do have a friend that uses a couple of them and seems to like them. I personally use the BRS dual reactor but wish I would have gone with the single ones to better control flow.

Dbl I was going to use the BRS ones but these just look nicer and match my trigger system emerald sump. And how are the BRS ones

I like the BRS dual reactor...been using it for two years without issue. As I said before, if I were to do it again, I would do the singles simple for flow control with different medias.

I agree the SR's look nicer so then it becomes a personal preference thing.

I am also looking for media reactor for GFO. Is the synergy easier to open for media change compared to BRS? I don't like the BRS with the way the cartridge connect (I use this type of container with my house RO water filter, it's very difficult to open when I need to change the filter)

Thanks

why don't you just change your dual into 2 singles would only take the purchase of a couple parts

I can vouch for the quality of synergy reef products! I am definently going with these on my build.

I have used the brs reactors for years and they do work great however they are more difficult to maintain and having to grab the to wrench makes it less likely for me to maintain them in the long run over the synergy reef design.

Dbrewsky they don't come with a pump right? That means I would need to get one do you know which one you may get looking for suggestions for my 125.

@sharkreef - you have two options

1st is to get a small feed pump like a maxi jet 1200 to power the reactor. These work well for flow, size and ease of hooking the input line to the pump.

2nd you can take your return pump and create a return manifold which can simply be a tee in the return line hooked to a valve to control the flow going to the reactor.

The benefit of option one is ease of installation.

the benefit of option two is potentially more electrical efficiency using one pump vs and additional feed pump. You can also reduce clutter in your sump by avoiding another pump.
