Any one using marine pure balls?

I was just wondering if anyone is using marine pure balls in there AIO? My nitrates are a little higher than I like and I already do weekly water changes.

I used to use the 8x4x4 block and to be honest I didn't see any great reduction in nitrates, there are better options for nitrate removal.

Have a look at the vsv method.

I saw a video by an Australian guy who said the balls needed a higher flow rate than the blocks. So maybe it’s down to positioning in the AIO sump?

I use them. Really don't know if they help.

i have 100 of them in a fx4 pulling from and returning to my sump.
