Hello Fellow Reefers,
This isn't a thread trying to bash Aquaforest but has anyone here had any issues with their acans or chalices not reacting too well to it? I loved the fact that it mixed with high magnesium because I have always had an issue trying to maintain my magnesium of 1300+ but after several months of using the salt I noticed that all my acans and chalices started to recede. All my parameters were in order but I did notice my nitrates and phosphates were a bit on the high side. I ended up upgrading my protein skimmer and ran GFO and got nutrient levels under control but the acans and chalices continued to recede. I even ran carbon thinking maybe something bad had accumulated in the water so I did more frequent but smaller water changes but that only made thing worse. After raunning out of the salt mix I switched back to Red Sea and noticed that the chalices stopped receding and rims started to color back up. So was it the salt?
