Any particular copepods that i should purchase

I want to get a scooter blenny, dragonet, i have have not seen any pods in my reef in a long time. I would assume they were victims of a crash about a yr ago. Ive been looking on ebay, amazon and it seems like there are several different types, tisbe for example. Is there any in particular that i should buy or stay away from?

From what i remember before the bottle looks like it just has some dust in it, how long after i add it do you think it would be safe to have enough food for a scooter? Do the pods i purchase need to first mature before getting a fish that needs them for food?

Tisbe are probably the best food for Dragonets. They reproduce fairly easily and the adults scurry about on the rocks where the dragonet can feed on them. Apocyclops pods are another good choice as the adults also live on surfaces and they reproduce a little faster. The downside is they are a little smaller.

Tigger pods do great in outdoor cultures, but I think they are less prolific in reproducing in tanks. They might be a good option if you want to start a culture and feed the tank once a week. I wouldn't expect them to reproduce in your tank.

You'll want to feed your tank a few times a week with phytofeast or live phyloplankton so that the pods have something to eat.
