I’m building my return plumbing right now and I’ve built a manifold that can support two reactors.

I’m wondering if there is even a point in this though?

What sort of media would be beneficial in a reactor if your using a fuge with chaeto and dosing trace elements?

Carbon is one you may still want to use.

Wouldn’t carbon eat up the nutrients that the chaeto feeds off of?

Please excuse my ignorance, I haven’t set up a tank in over 5 years

Carbon may trap a few nutrients in its pores but not much. What is does trap is toxins which can accidentally be added or some corals can release when agitated.
