Any Pom Pom Tips?

Hey All,

After months of trying to get chaeto from algae barn (I work a lot and the one time I had the chance to order we were on vacation for 10 days), I did a bit more research and decided to go with Pom Pom. Everything I read sounded great including the fact it can be used to feed herbivores. I ordered from Algae Barn and it came in pretty quickly, the jar did not have a lot of water so I reached out and they said it was fine. However I am not sure how well it’s doing, there are a few pieces that seem to be whiting out but it also came with some white areas so I’m not sure it if getting worse or not. I am using the Acke grow light off Amazon and this is the first thing for my tank I went cheap on but I did see a lot of post where people had luck with their refugium using simple shop lights so I figured I would give it a try. Any tips for good health is greatly appreciated!!

Please contact @AlgaeBarn. The algae did not survive shipping temperatures. You can trim off the dead ends. And it should bounce back. But Algae Barn will help make it right.

I did reach out and most of the algae is red just some tips are white. I was hoping it would recover. I really have very little knowledge on macro so I am unsure if its circling the drain or just fine.
