I was going to order an acrylic straw but I have many of these plastic rubberized drinking straws lying around. wondering if just drilling a hole in this lid and using a tube connector to this straw would be fine? will be using for all for reef

@rja Totally a guess here but if they are foodsafe and supposed to be for use by people I would think they’re okay. One suggestion for you. I use a piece of the same tubing I use to connect to bottle to doser I the bottles. I leave the piece slightly longer than needed so it hits bottom and also matches the color of my dosing lines.

for whatever reason, I had an air leak in the connections so i just used the doser tube to run through the whole straw and it worked fine and hits the bottom of the bottle

got a brand new Kaomer X1 off marketplace for $50… so this whole setup cost me $50.

the redneck nano reef AFR doser LOL

Its safe but glass deemed safer.

eventually I will buy an actual container once my 150 days worth of liquid AFR is up.

I want to get a real container and magnetic stirrer because I will be switching to powdered AFR.
