Will the ranco dual stage control both a few heaters and a fan for cooling? Or is it better to have separate controllers for fan and heater?

First step to owning a ranco, put a bead of silicon around the seam of the wire and the probe.

You can set the dual stage as a two stage heat, two stage cool or one stage heat one stage cool

Thanks guys. I've got a 6" clip on desk fan running over the tank now, but I think ill have to upgrade to a vornado with a bit more power and the I can run it off the ranco.

Temps getting to be above 80 outside, finally. I keep the house warm. AC has been off the past few days. 81 outside. House got up to 80. Normally my AC if on would be set at 80 anyway. Tank was 82.4F this morning, now holding stable 81.4 with the fan.

I'm still back and forth if I should just pick up a chiller or go with a vornado to replace my clip on fan. Room temps in summer will likely stay around 79-80. Last year seemed alright with the fan across the surface. I've since upgraded from an orphek LED fixture to an 8 bulb T5 unit which certainly gives off more heat.

They make them in both dual and single stage..you need the dual.
