I have a bunch of hair algae starting to build up in my reef tank and was wondering if anybody had any suggestions on what has worked best for them to get rid of it or maintain it...was looking to get some cerith snails?
I had a bad bout with GHA. It took 4 months to beat but I did.
1. Regular and often water changes sucking out as much GHA as I could
2. A good refugium light and macro algae. I ran it 24/7
3. Daily I took a pump or turkey baster to blow out any detritus from the rock work and allowed it to hon down the overflow. This meant cleaning the filter sock daily.
4. I didn’t fall for any gimmicks or snake oil cures.
