Got my RODI hard plumbed into my basement this am! With auto shut off and floats we are set to go, Now to just get my breakout box set up for my apex, and that darn apex water change program is kicking my butt, cant figure it out!

I found my B-day present. Wasn't the leopard wrasse I was looking for (I knew it was a long shot finding leopards in stock at a LFS). One of the LFS had just gotten their fish shipment in when I walked in. They ordered 4 leopard wrasses but none were delivered... BUT they had a pair of fish I have wanted for a loooooong time. Top it off they are cheap fish compared to leopards, although one of the most difficult fish, a pair of Orange Spotted Filefish for $20ea. :)

Dang, they are hungry little buggers. As soon as I put them in the tank they went right to work eating my acropora corals. I understood they eat them when I bought it, that doesn't concern me, I was just surprised that within seconds of going into the tank they went right to eating.

Thanks! I am always looking for new challenges and a pair of these fish has been near the top of my list of challenging things to try for several years now. After reading some more of other peoples experience on them I am very happy to see mine are eating so quickly on the food they require in nature, acropora corals. I see a lot of people buy these and don't have any acropora and they perish quickly due to starvation. Mine haven't stopped eating since they went in, and they are not really picky either, I have seen them taste every SPS coral in my tank in the short time they have been in it. No other fish are picking on them either so it seems I made a really good choice for my tank. Only bad thing is from looking online to find the difference between male and female, it appears I have 2 females (males don't have the solid black bottom fin with white dots, it is a black border with orange inside).

I'll be out in search of a diverse CUC for my new tank. Not yet sure where I'm headed, but I'll know when I get there.

Fragged up a bunch of Zoas calling it fragging Friday :-)

Sorry, last one, I am just super excited about my new additions today. Normally I get leopard wrasses and the first thing they do is dive into the sand for at least a day, it is rare that I get a fish that is so out in the open and already feels at home in the tank.

I had no idea what I was doing this weekend until I got home from dinner last night.

Can anyone guess what I've been doing since I found this when I got home?

Got my waterchange done yesterday and made up one batch of water. Now today need to make up my batch of freshwater for topping off during the next week. Back to the drawing board on making my screen top but have another idea that I think is going to work.

Oh man! Hope you have a wet vac. Sorry to hear that! :(

I love reefers...

Hopefully not too much damage was done.

Affirmative on the shop vac! Three in fact....as a reefer, I don't leave home without them! ;)

Major pain in the ***, electronics got wet so I pretty much had to take everything apart to dry and inspect - basically 70-80% of a breakdown and reinstall - but miraculously nothing was lost. Have everything but the ReefKeeper and the ATO (which both got the most wet and thus need a new location) reinstalled at this point.

My ORA Green Birds Nest is tweaked, but nobody else seems any worse for the wear. Hoping he brings a nice recovery.

Thanks for the positive thoughts! Maybe it helped! :-)

Good to hear that other than things getting wet that damage was it sounds like minimal.
