I know this may seem a rediculous topic, but defending one's own way of life for me includes the things I love. Of course human life is more important than a hobby, but hobbies can be an escape from daily chaos. I wondered what I would do with my 3 tanks during wartime conflict besides the obvious abandonment if necessary. If you had the proper necessities... would you try to maintain or salvage your reef tank and is there anybody here who has experienced this...

Being honest, my family and my life are far more important than a fish tank. Depending on how much time you had to prep would maybe change how much prep one could do, but you can’t predict how long you will be gone if you have to flee.

I completely agree family is more important than a fish tank...but if you had the means... would you attempt to save your tank?

No. If I was in a war zone and had the resources to try to prepare/protect my tank from all catastrophe, that money would be better spent helping others save their families.

I love my tank! I love my family and freedom more. If I were put in the terrible situation the Ukrainian people are in, I'm grabbing my guns and fighting with everything I have. I'm very well armed and a decent shot. When I'm not fighting, I would be reloading rounds, another of my many hobbies.

If I survived and so did the tank great. If the tank died off that sucks, but there would be much more important things to rebuild anyway.
