Any review for this Fuge light

What both my LFS reccomend. Anyone have experience? Maybe pair with a grow lamp from HD?

I'd go with a grow bulb for a refugium (macroalgae growth). You can get 3 times the wattage with LED's that way, which I would think would grow chaeto or other macroalgae more quickly and function as a better filter.

I run https://www.amazon.com/TaoTronics-Lights-Hydroponics-Organic-Applicable/dp/B01HPIPM70, which works very nicely. I did buy the $50 BRS gooseneck to mount it, but you don't have to use that mount (any PAR38/lightbulb mount will do).

Yeah, I've seen the same threads on SBReef re: poorly responsive customer service.

There is a newer version of the grow bulb I listed, but I didn't see as many comments (and I wasn't as sure about the spectral peaks) so I went with the older model.

This light was white 6500 spectrum only. Figured If it’s successful and I could pie with a 20 dollar Red/blue from depot it would be cheapest and save shipping. Idk

I just ordered an LED grow floodlight from Amazon that has the red 650-660/blue 450-460 spectrums (same as the CheatoMax). I purchased the smallest 10w version to power a fuge in my all-in-one for $28 (there are other options similar but this had Prime shipping). The specs all match what I was looking for, so we'll see if it works. If not, I'm not out much.
