hi,
wanting some advice.
I have read numerous times that when people change their globes they often get algae outbreaks and corals showing signs of unhappiness

I really want to avoid these issues.

I am replacing all 8 of my T5's. 4 of them are 9 months old the other 4 are 13 months old (well past due)
How do I do this without problems ?
thanks in advance.

I just do 2 at a time but making sure they are space out in the fixture so the new light is evenly spread. This is to not stress the corals out from getting too much light.

Also wait a week between changing bulbs just to be extra cautious. HTH

Thanks for that info.
Is it likely to cause problems if I do all at once ?
Or am I concerned over nothing ?

Yes changing the bulbs all at once with shock your corals which can sometimes cause death. Especially given the age of your bulbs it would be pretty harsh going with 8 new bulbs at once. You could probably get away with changing 4 at a time with a week in between. But I definitely recommend you do it slowly like I mentioned before. Your coral will thank you in the end.
