So I received a frag today that didn't ship well at all .... almost completely colorless save for a few hints of the polyp color in spots. If it weren't for that and the fact that it had the 'acro aroma' I would've thought it was dead. I acclimated it like normal and have placed it on the bottom of the tank in a medium to high flow area that gets lots of random movement. Is there anything else that I can do to try to save it? The only other frag that I've received in this condition didn't make it so I thought maybe somebody had some other tip to try .....

OMG---how long was it in the box?

I would just leave it alone at this point and see how it does. I dont think dipping it would help much at this point.

That one is a gonner I've never had luck with acros that come in rough like that sometimes they hang on looking like crap for weeks / months but never color back up and eventually rtn that is not what i consider live arrival might not be dead ATM but will be soon ! Hopefully whoever u got it from will do right thing and send out a new frag

I agree.

Shipment was on time ..... wasn't quite 24 hours according to tracking info., clam and acan seemed to have shipped fine at least. I debated dipping it but decided not too .... didn't think it would really help much either and may actually stress it more.

Ugh, thats kinda what I was thinking too. Sent this same photo to the vendor already just so they had a heads up that there was a problem immediately upon arrival. Their response was that there was no tissue recession so they felt it would be fine, however, they do have a longer guarantee than just the doa and definitely indicated they will cover it if it 'declines' over the next couple weeks..... and I'm comfortable with their reputation that they will.

Yea, it's a goner ..... here it is now after just a few hours in the tank ....

Ouch...Glad the vendor will replace it, should replace now; why wait two weeks. It's a goner.

Well, thankfully they did. Sent them the same photo last night and they responded very quickly that a credit has been issued!
