I made one for last years secret Santa. it was an up flow scrubber IDK if the guy ever used it but it is totally doable. I was gonna make one for my little nano too but got in to a whole house reno so yeah that did not happen. let me see if I have some pics for ya around.

looks like I did not keep any photos but i made it out of an ABS project box.

another options is just a HOB filter with the back cut out and plexi glass glued in.
