I have a basement equipment room for my sump and iwaki 100 return pump. Although not too bad, I’d like to reduce the pump noise. I’ve already installed a rubber horse mat from Tractor supply under neath my sump and pump. It’s under the sump to reduce any noise/vibration from the internal skimmer pump. I’ve also plumbed about 18 inches of soft flexible tubing on the intake and output of the pump to reduce vibration transferred to my pvc piping. The only other thing that no can think of Is to install acoustic foam on the wall adjacent to the pump. Has anyone done this, or something similar, and how well did it work?

Any other suggestions for nose reduction are welcome.

Is this adjacent to a finished living area?

I have a unfinished basement that's wide open. My Panworld makes some noise, but really isn't loud at all. Upstairs, can't hear a thing.

You can make an acoustic box for it to live in or enclose the side where the noise exits. It needs to be ventilated, though... you do NOT want it to get hot.

Nope. Unfinished basement. I spend a lot of time in the equipment room puttering, and a little quieter would be nice.

That’s an interesting idea. It would use less acoustic foam. Agree it would likely need to be an open top for ventilation.

Replace it with a quieter one if none of the remedies mentioned work.
Sorry, not an option based on cost. I’m not even sure if anyone makes a quiet pressure rated pump with that flow rate.
