I have been trying to play around with the 3x mitras LX7, but the time is ready to stop playing and start doing the right thing. I did some PAR measurements with my first schedule (mitras locked to 50%), but it did show my eyes vs real life was horrible.

So I changed to schedule to be simpler - slow start, then same the whole day, and down in the evening.

My livestock is mixed reef with LPS focus.

I added the new schedule with this post, to do this I put on acclimitasion from 40 - 80 % (with 80% max). I have not used any other functions as weather or seasonal, clouds etc.

Any thoughts? When this schedule is done with its cycle I get around 190PAR at the red alpha century zoantids on the right.

Added a gallery here with the pictures of the schedules etc: https://saltvannsforum.no/gallery/album/5-lys/

What is the average peak par just above the corals?

My self, I set a peak intensity at 6-8 hrs during the day and set the ramp to meet those %, and the start time based on when we look at the tank. I.e. 6 am 10pm.
If you find the corals are not getter my enough light or too much then you can simply either decrease the intensity of the peak time or the length of the peak.
This is based on the concept of DLI

Simply put, how much is as important as how long. If you want longer time use less how much.

Its an average PAR or 200 across the middle of the tank and about 450-470 at the top of the water (one inch below). At the highest rock peak its about 350-400 PAR and about 120PAR at the bottom of the tank.
Seems kinda perfect to me. High light corals on the top of the rocks. Etc now it'll be just a bit of tweaking and watching to see how the corals do with the time you want.
