Any suggestions on plugging tank holes

I have a 150 Gallon tank with a 3 inch and 1.5 inch holes. I want to seal the holes to turn it into an aquascape and buy a new tank for my reef. Any suggestions on filling the holes other then getting glass cut then silicone it to the holes.

Your other options would be to get some appropriate thickness glass, and silicone it into place. You could even be double safe and put glass on both the inside and outside.

I was going to do this but incase I wanna go back would a bulk head and plug actually work and last?

Bulkhead should work- can put a bead of silicone around both sides if you want to be extra safe, but you would have to cut through it to remove the bulkhead in the future.

Issue with bulkheads is that they can develop leaks over time. Using a piece of glass and silicone properly over the hole will hold for life of the tank. I did this on my 120G with 4 holes and 1 hole in the sump. If your hole is on the bottom of the tank I would go glass route. Once sand is over it, or corals/coraline algae grow over it, you wont see it. If hole is on the side, thats a bit tougher as glass will be visible, but so will a bulkhead.
