They can be injected with boiling water. I've also heard of injecting them with lemon juice.

so after reading wat was said in the link i clicked on, is the rock worth saving or do i need to start all over?? i thought it was part of the corals that were already in their, the tank was pretty neglected when i got it, all ive been doin to it is water changes all the different chemicals, put a new uv bulb in, was told i could start adding fish slowly, but after hearing an reading about the Aiptasia, im kinda at a lost of wat i should do????

i have had great experience with both Peppermint Shrimp and Copperband Butterfly to remove those, but Peppermint are great cause they are scavangers as well

will they eat the big ones as well? ill get more pics of it when the lights cycle on i have as many of them as the mushroom looking coral :(

i use aiptasia-x by reasea. still looking for the moma, i know she's hiding down in a rock somewheres. i take note of where the little ones, are then during water changes kill all that can be found. tell ya the truth, it kinda keeps my bloodlust in check :] its almost a game around our house now, who can find and kill the most aiptasia, really has my soon intrested in the hobby now! goodluck

Yes they will eat the large ones may take a little longer than the small ones but they do, i bought a bunch of live rock from someone that had an aptasia problem put about 5 peppermints in the tank and after about a week almost all was gone.
