Alright guys, I bought a 150g cube the other day. The guy had the overflow off and the holes covered. Any suggestions on ways to get this off without prying on it? So far I couldn't get it off with a putty knife or razor blade, thanks in advance!

I was kind of thinking that but I looked at one at the local hardware store and it seems like the wire might be too thick. I tried braided fishing line but it just broke. I will probably end up getting the pipe cutter and trying it tomorrow

Maybe use a heat gun on the part furthest away from the seem to get it started. I'm really not sure what that would do the glass though.

Yea that's what I was scared of, didn't want to shatter the bottom glass

Maybe applying acetone to loosen silicone,,then the wire...Or a Rockwell sonicraft saw....

Just drill new holes in the plate covering the whole.
