I have a Biocube 29 and I’m wondering what the best power head for a tank this size is. My friend gave me an extra one he had but it’s too powerful. I also don’t know if I’ll need a power head because I am looking at creating a zoa garden and a hammer/frogspawn garden.

MP10 would be good. You would need extra flow for the hammers/frogspawn. Even for zoas, they would want a nice flow, for nutrient transport / cleaning detritus off of them

Let me add I am also kind of on a budget right now

I like my hygger Mini Wave Maker. The instruction's are a mangled Chinese mess lol, but overall it does the job pretty well. It can set to random or rhythmic waves from around 600GPH to close to 1600GPH as well as a feeding mode.

If you want to know how to program it I can help.

In My gf tank she has a icecap 2k gyre. It’s turned down a lot but it sure does a nice job moving water. She’s pimping out her tank with a apex and EcoTech g5 pro. The 2k gyre is good and very controllable as well.
