Any thoughts on this critter

Just noticed on the base of a Hammer I got from WWC there is a black spot with what looks like a little critter hanging on to it. Lots of current makes critter move all over. Its very small.

This was zoomed way in.

Hard to tell, but maybe a sponge or tunicate? Does it move? Is it squishy?

Don't know. May pull it out tomorrow and dip. The worm looking part looked like it moved in current, not on its own.
