Any thoughts? Overnight lost acro and monti

Just lost one acro (had it for 6 months) and one montipora (about 3 inches in diameter) overnight.

Parameters:
- pH 8.5
- alk 8.3
- Ca 420
- Mg 1600
- Nitrates 20-30
- Phosphates 0.08

No light changes, nothing else I can think of.

...salinity 1.030 checked and in the process of correcting it. Could that have done it?
Lights using 2 ReefLEDs 50, 80% peak, 75g tank,...

With coral they don't die overnight, they were already dead.

This is the tough part about coral.

I understand what you are saying, I guess that's a good point. I hope you also understand what I mean: they "bleached" or they showed their "death" overnight... pick your poison.
Any advice? Remaining corals are opening and appear to be doing fine.

How are you getting your PH to 8.5? What salt are you using along with what's being dosed? Mag is abnormally high also

I don’t know how the OP does it but I can tell you how I keep my ph in the higher range. I dose the majority of my alk during lights out to keep the low ph phase as high as possible.

I like it, I’m going to experiment myself with trying to break the 8.4 range in the future, with my new tank being in its own room I have seen the PH lower by .10 compared to my 210 in the living room. My 300 only peaks at 8.31.

I was concerned the op was using magic ph increased in a bottle causing those parameters

Ph I don't know. I have no idea why my pH was always like that. Using API, Hanna and a digital pH reader... all give similar results, on the high range. I can't honestly find a reason for it!!!

Using either RedSea or InstantOcean for salt, dosing 2 part, also some additional minerals from time to time. Changing 20-25% water every 2 moths or so.

Dosing less on Mg to lower it. I am very upset about these two corals, what I thought about doing is fragging most of them, so I have backups - sound solution?!?!!? I just want to avoid this in the future. The green slimer acro, or whatever that was, was really nice.
