Any tips/mistakes in this copepod culturing plan?

Straight to the point:

2 new 2.5gal drink pitchers (amazon) will hold the pods
air from amazon airpump with T split into each tank, gauged down to a couple bubbles a second
feeding with live phyto blend
culture harvest through pitcher spicket into sieve,
rinse sieve into tank
add the culture water back into the pitcher (or dispose? not sure)

water changes will be about half a gallon every week, pods will be moved into clean bucket, pitchers rinsed in tap, then filled with new water & from pod bucket & mix

anyone with experience of a setup this size or around this size mind sharing how much phyto consumption I should expect ?

What TYPE/BREED of pod? light on culture of pods with phyto? Both of those are factors.

Instead, I go with the easy, lazy banana peel (skin) with powdered spirulina method, but I have larger @Reef Nutrition Tigger Pods. I've tried other pod types, but I always come back to those.

wow, nice! im looking to avoid water changes and would move outside but no electricity available.
I am wondering if it sufficient to top off with fresh salt water as I dose the pods to the main tank then dispose of the water the pods flowed through the sieve in?

SO.... I sneak dirty old pod water into my main tank because WHAT IF there are pod eggs or pod babies too small to see... so ... we do have a nitrate and phosphate problem in the main tank we're constantly battling... is it over feeding (yes)... but is it tied to sneaky pod water disposal (... uhm sometimes lol)

I do my pods only indoors on smaller scale due to Texas heat and no decent shady location in my backyard.

Just keep in mind tank water may be running at 1.026 and pods breed faster at 1.020 so evaporation and straight undiluted tank water will all bring up your salinity from ideal for pod salinity... I'm sure you'll figure out what works for you.
